Megan Fitzgerald is an expat career and personal branding coach and the founder of Career By Choice. She helps fellow expats worldwide use their personal brand to build a career or business that 'fits' who they are and their international, mobile lifestyle.
It is her passion for helping others embrace their freedom to choose where they live and what they do, her extensive global experience and training, and a creative, 2.0 approach that helps her clients build more satisfying professional lives overseas. Committed to authenticity and excellence, she works with her clients to clarify their goals and personal brand and create compelling marketing materials on- and offline. She also helps them build a distinctive online identity using social media, grow a strong network, and apply strategies that accelerate their professional and business success abroad.
With over 15 years of experience in career and business development, Megan has worked with expat professionals and entrepreneurs from across the globe. Her passion for travel, culture and service has taken her to over 28 countries on 5 continents to live, work or play. Driven by creativity and the belief that people are most successful when they leverage their passion and strengths, Megan enjoys helping people uncover their unique qualities and powerfully expressing their value to create real impact in their careers and businesses.
Megan is active in community service and donates a percentage of her total income to The Global Fund and to life saving programs around the world fighting AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. She is a member of Kiva.org, or a "Kivan", and supports entrepreneurs in developing countries through small microloans. Currently she is supporting a woman in Samoa to raise kava, an important element in Samoan culture, to support her family.
When she is not being of service to her clients, Megan enjoys modern art, independent film, salsa dancing, meditation and a caffè macchiato to start her day.
